1. ABOUT US & YOU

a) Who’s Who
“We”, “our” and “us” refer to Mrs B’s Bakes and Cakes. “You” refers to the customer purchasing our products.
b) What These Terms Cover
These Terms apply to all purchases made through our website. They override any other terms unless otherwise agreed by us in writing.
c) Changes to Terms
Any changes to these Terms must be agreed in writing by Mrs B’s Bakes and Cakes.
d) Legal Stuff
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
e) Third-Party Rights
Only you (the customer) and we (the seller) have rights under these Terms. No one else may enforce them.
​2. PRICING
​
a) VAT
Most of our products are zero-rated for VAT. However, some items (e.g. certain cookies or gift add-ons) may be subject to standard-rated VAT. All prices displayed include VAT where applicable.
​3. DELIVERY
​
a) Dispatch Timing
​
We are a small independent artisanal bakery, and everything you order is baked fresh to order — no 3-day-old bakes here! Because of this, orders are collected and dispatched the following week:

Orders placed by 11.59pm on a Sunday will be dispatched during the following week, via next-day delivery

We aim to have all orders dispatched by Thursday, arriving in time for your much-needed Friday treat!​

Subscription Deliveries:
Subscription boxes will be dispatched during the first week of every month

b) Delivery Delays
While we do our best to ensure on-time delivery, we cannot be held responsible for delays once your parcel is with the courier. This includes delays due to courier error, incorrect delivery details, or no one being available to receive the parcel. Please double-check your delivery address and consider using a safe place option.
c) Shelf Life & Quality Assurance
Our baked goods typically have a 5–7 day ambient shelf life and can also be frozen for up to 3 months. Each box is clearly labelled with a best-before date. Short delivery delays will not affect the safety or quality of your order.
​4. PAYMENT
​
a) Payment Terms
Full payment must be made at the time of ordering, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
b) Late Payments (Business Customers Only)
In invoiced cases, late payment may incur interest and recovery costs under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act 1998.
​5. ORDER QUERIES
​
a) Order Issues
If there’s a problem with your order (wrong item, damage, etc.), please email orders@mrsbsbakesandcakes.com within 2 days of delivery and we’ll work to resolve it quickly.
b) Invoice Questions
If you spot an error on your invoice, let us know within 2 days of receipt at orders@mrsbsbakesandcakes.com
​6. RETURNS
​
a) Returns Policy
As all our products are freshly made to order and perishable, we cannot accept returns unless we have sent the wrong item or there is a clear quality issue.
b) Return Conditions
If a return is agreed under exceptional circumstances, items must be returned unopened and in original packaging. Return postage is the customer’s responsibility unless agreed otherwise. We do not resell returned goods – they are disposed of in line with our waste policy. Refunds are only processed after returned items have been received and inspected.
​7. COMPLAINTS

a) Let’s Fix It
If you’re unhappy with your experience, we want to make it right. Please email hello@mrsbsbakesandcakes.co.uk and we aim to respond within 2 working days (Monday–Friday, excluding Bank Holidays).
​8. MISSING PARCELS & FRAUDULENT CLAIMS
​
a) Missing Parcels
If your order hasn’t arrived as expected, contact us promptly and we’ll liaise with the courier to resolve it.
b) Fraudulent Claims
If we have reason to believe a claim is dishonest (e.g. repeated false claims, conflicting information, or suspicious behaviour), we reserve the right to:

Refuse refunds or replacements;

Block future orders from the customer or associated addresses;

Report the matter to Action Fraud (UK fraud reporting service).
These steps are taken to protect our business and maintain fairness for all customers.
​9. OUR RESPONSIBILITY

a) Limited Liability
Our liability is limited to the value of your order.
b) No Consequential Losses
We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as missed events or gifts, due to delivery issues or product concerns.
c) Your Responsibility
You agree to use and store our products appropriately. We are not responsible for problems caused by improper use, handling, or storage.
​10. YOUR PRIVACY & ACCOUNT
a) Confidential Info
If we share any confidential or business-related information with you (e.g. custom quotes or terms), please do not share it with others.
b) Account Security
If you create an account on our website, please keep your login details safe and secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
